Criminal Law Attorney
In her criminal law practice, Attorney DeBernardis has defended clients against a variety of charges including but not limited to drug possession and/or distribution, operating under the influence (of alcohol and/or drugs), assault & battery, larceny/theft, retraining order violations, forgery, destruction of property, sex crimes, fraud, gun charges and motor vehicle offenses. She uses creative motion practice and trial techniques to effectively and zealously represent each client. Sometimes the best resolution for a case is found by way of a plea. In others, a motion may allow for evidence to be suppressed (not permitted into evidence), the matter to be more clearly defined, or the matter to be dismissed. Often times, a trial is the best route to defend a case with the best outcome for the client. If you find yourself seeking an attorney after an arrest or receiving a summons, contact Attorney DeBernardis to evaluate the case, learn about your individual circumstances and advise you the best course of action for your matter.
Family Law Attorney
Clients have come to Attorney DeBernardis after hearing that their requested outcome was impossible to achieve, yet months later, they are surprised to find themselves in the exact position that they had hoped. She had a father come to her recently that was told that the “mother always gets custody of the children” and so, he would never get shared custody of his children. In his particular situation, Attorney DeBernardis felt as if he had a very good case for joint custody. Though he was hesitant, he worked with our firm and within just a few months, he was divorced and sharing custody of his children with his former spouse. Look to the knowledge and experience of this firm to help you decide what you’d like to happen and if that is realistic in your case.
